Submit Your Work!

$50 for published short stories and visual art, and $30 for poetry suites

WRITING

We are looking for original short stories, poetry, and creative non-fiction of no more than 2,500 words. Please include a brief biographical note (50 -100 words) to be published alongside your work including your course of study. We are especially interested in student work receiving a grade of Distinction or High Distinction.

We are also looking for writers to produce blog content, either in the style of feature or news journalism ranging from 250 - 800 words. Articles should be relevant to the students of Southern Cross University in some meaningful way.

MEDIA & ARTS

We are looking for original compositions of visual artwork or digital media projects, including photography, illustrations, graphic design, digital paintings, or any other visual creative piece.

Please include a brief biographical note including your course of study and an artist's statement about your piece (50-100 words each) to be published alongside your work.

  • Send your submissions to flunkmagazine@gmail.com 

  • Format in DocX for writing submission with 12 point text and double spacing

  • Include your name, student number, and email at the top of your document

  • Please ensure you only submit your best and final work, free of typos or blemishes
